We are a circle of friends who love the MUSIC & ARTS. We believe that Music can change people’s lives. By getting involved in programs that serve our community, we create bigger circles of positive influence. Everyone has different skills and can contribute to making our community a better place by helping others. We need volunteers to work together, have fun and make a difference in our community.
MIGM Sub-Volunteer Club
We have different sub-committees in our Club. You can join any of our volunteer groups.
• MIGM Musician Volunteers
We are seeking volunteer musicians who are willing to perform at MIGM events held at senior centers and care homes, hospitals and any other requested venues. Promote the message of Music Is Good Medicine and using their own skills to influence others in a positive way.
• MIGM Fund Raising Committee Volunteers
We need creative, energetic and experienced volunteers to help us in fund raising activities. Fund raising volunteers will assist in planning various fund raising activities to increase resources for our Music Is Good Medicine programs. These resources will provide musical instruments to local schools and scholarship for students who would like to pursue a future in Music and the Arts. Fund Raising volunteers will also explore ideas for MIGM merchandise.
• MIGM Community Outreach Program Committee Volunteers
Those who have a passion for involvement in community outreach programs. Volunteers will assist in the planning and coordination of MIGM school visits, workshops and other outreach programs. Volunteers will contact and work with local schools and organizations to coordinate and create MIGM programs to serve our community.
• MIGM Event Coordination Volunteers
Coordinate Charity and Fund Raising Events. Work with fund Raising and Community Outreach Programs Committees to support the planning and coordination of events.
• MIGM Marketing Committee Volunteers
It is important to create marketing tools to enhance our program. The team will come up ideas for flyers, on-line tools, website development, and logo merchandise. The marketing committee will assist in the creation of a newsletters and news releases for public relation activities.
• MIGM Administration Committee Volunteers
This group is the key to organizing all of the volunteer committee groups. Responsibilities include coordinating volunteer committee meetings, keeping meeting minutes, reporting and maintaining records.
